MASKS MUST BE WORN IN THE PRO SHOP

Face masks MUST be worn in the pro shop...

We are seeing that a lot of people are not wearing face masks in the Pro Shop.

Please be aware that they are MANDATORY government guidelines and there is a threat of a £100 fine if caught

Evidence suggests that wearing a face-covering does not protect you.

However, if you are infected but have not yet developed symptoms, it may provide some protection for others you come into close contact with.

We have masks available to buy in the Pro Shop for £5.99 and they are branded with our club logo.

Another World Number 1

Jon Rahm’s stint at the top of the rankings lasted just a single week. All eyes were on Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson to challenge the Spaniard for that top-of-the-world spot. But it was Justin Thomas, slipping under the radar, who reclaimed it with a win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

If Thomas had gone under the radar beforehand, he certainly didn’t on Sunday. A combination of pink trousers and outstanding golf saw the 27-year-old steal the show, coming from four shots behind overnight leader Brendon Todd, he overtook the likes of Koepka and Rickie Fowler with a 5-under 65 at TPC Southwind.

World Handicap System

There's going to be a new handicapping system introduced to the world of golf by the end of 2020, so we thought we'd take a look at a few of the key points for you.

World Handicap System - how will it impact you?

To kick things off, you’ll have a universal handicap that you can take to any course in the world. Before you tee off, you’ll simply combine the course & slope rating with your handicap to decide a ‘playing handicap’ for that specific round.

Once you reach 2-over plus any strokes you’re given on a hole, you can pick up your ball and move on to the next hole (depending on the format you're playing) to help speed up play. For more information, send us a message below.
