On Thursday, 5 March we welcome PING to our swing studio for a PING fitting day. This is a great opportunity to get fitted by a specialised PING custom fitter who will have all club heads and shafts in the PING range for you to try.

The latest G410 range has proved hugely popular with those who have been fitted with us over the winter period as it’s one of the most forgiving and easy to hit clubs on the market.

We still have some spaces available from 11am - 3pm, so call or email us to book your place.

Clubs for Cash event

Also, on the same day, we have a ‘Clubs for Cash’ event running alongside the PING fitting day. This is designed to give you the opportunity to drop in any old or unwanted clubs, get a quote from them there and then, and spend your credit in-store.

So, why not get fitted by PING, exchange any unwanted clubs for store credit, and use it against purchasing brand new clubs just in time for the 2020 golfing season?

Studio news

NEW courses...

The beauty of having TrackMan in our indoor swing studio is it has over 40+ 18-hole course for you to enjoy, as most of you have taken advantage of over the last month due to storm after storm. Now TrackMan would hate for you to get bored of the same courses (not that you will have played all of them) and so, there is always updates just around the corner.

This time around we have five new courses available to test your skills on…why not be the first to test them out?

Simulator is available to hire for just £20 per hour.

Short game stig wall

The short game skills test has one more month left to run for your chance to WIN an indoor coaching session with Alec for FREE. All you have to do for just £2 a go is hit the yardage TrackMan gives you.

All yardages are between 60 – 100 yards and points are scored based on carry distance and distance from the pin. Your average score over ten shots will place you on the stig wall. Not only is it a great chance for you to WIN a FREE indoor lesson using TrackMan but also gives you a chance to test your short game skills and highlight any yardages you may struggle with.

No need to book, just call in to get your name on the wall.

The art of putting

‘Drive for show, putt for dough’. No doubt you have heard this one a few times before but considering putting equates to between 30 to 50% of our shots on the course, it also has a large element of truth in it.

Odyssey Stroke Lab Triple Track putters

There's some clever technology out there to help you putt better. For example, Odyssey has taken the Triple Track Alignment from the ERC Soft golf ball and combined it with their Stroke Lab shaft to create this stunning range of putters.

The whole puzzle

If you're considering buying new irons this year, have a think about how they are going to blend into the rest of your set. The idea is to have equal yardage gaps between each club in your bag so, if you are going to treat yourself, it might be worth replacing a long iron with a hybrid that is easier to hit.

Take danger out of play

The illustration here is a good example of where a hybrid comes in handy. When our driver brings danger into play and a long-iron leaves us too far to the green, a hybrid is the perfect option.
